My dad is getting really lazy in helping me get online to keep up my blog. My apologies to those of you who check here everyday only to close the window with extreme disappointment!!
My mommy has been taking me to class every Wednesday with a bunch of other kids and moms. It has been a great time to meet some new friends. Daddy came today and took photos of all of us. You can see me in my usual hands up defensive stance in this photo! There are bunch more photos in the Friends & Family gallery.
I have been changing a lot as you can probably see in all the photos. I am making more and more sounds and really looking around a lot more too. There is so much to see out there!! I also spit out my pacifier tonight and then grabbed it off my chest and almost got it back in my mouth. It may have been an accident, but we're still calling it a milestone!!

I Dig My Mom
This was a very restful day for me. Mommy and I went to baby class this afternoon and then I slept until almost 8PM!! I did wake up just enough to eat a couple bottles with daddy somewhere in between. I think I had mommy and daddy worried a bit that I was sleeping so much. They thought something was wrong. I just feel so much better after having that cold and was so exhausted that I slept right through the American Idol finale! I got a great bath though and now I am ready for bed!
G'pa Gary came and held me for a while yesterday while mommy was working on her paper. It was great to have him here helping her out and I just like to be held by him.
Don't you like my shirt? It says "I DIG MY MOM"...my daddy says that he digs my mom too!

Gpa's Hall of Fame
Here I am with Gpa Gary and daddy. Gpa was inducted into the Minnesota State High School League Hall of Fame today. They tell me it was a pretty nice ceremony...I slept for a good chunk of it! It was so nice to see so many family and friends that were there to join Gpa for this special day. We are really proud of him.
Other than that, it was a pretty restful weekend. Mommy and I stayed home last night to try and shake my cold when daddy went down to Wanamingo to meet with his new team and parents. We are excited about that and I know that I have a lot fun days ahead of me in the gym with him.
I was a really good boy in church this morning too and for the first time in a while, mommy didn't have a light head from standing and sitting all the time. I think I had something to do with that along the way in the past 10 months!!
Tonight we went over to the Schwanke's for dinner. It was so great to spend time with them and I got held a lot...I love that!! Even Michael and Connor held me...Michael had that special touch that put me right to sleep. Megan and Lisa traded off a bunch too and I really hope they come to visit me at home in the next couple weeks!! They are such a great family and some special Lakeville friends we will always stay in touch with.

Hazel & Filbert
Lots of people have been asking where I have been lately on the blog. Well, let me just say that it's hard to type when I am screaming and crying my eyes out! Yep, it's been a long week as I have gotten my first cold along with a little growth spurt at the same time. I have a period from about 6:30PM until 10:00 when I just can't get myself comfortable and that's when daddy and I usually work on the blog.
So it's good to be back!! Here I am with mommy's aunt Lori and our friends Hazel and Filbert. Mommy had some friends over tonight for a little spa party. They rubbed oils and lotions and put funny things over their eyes. Daddy and I watched from a distance and kind of chuckled when they covered up their eyes with those things! I am sure it felt good though. It was also nice for mommy to have some time to relax with her friends. Daddy and I hung out and cried!
Like I said, this week was a long one. I have been taking a bottle now which is a big step. That gives mommy a little reprieve occasionally. Daddy stayed home with me on Thursday because mommy had a meeting for FFA. And my aunt Jessica came and stayed with me today for the whole day. We had a great time while mommy was working.
Here's to the weekend!! Talk to you soon...

Lakeville Art Teachers!
We have had a fun week! Last night we had a little birthday dinner for daddy at Old Chicago with Gma & Gpa A and uncle Eric. It was so nice that we got to sit outside on the patio. I slept the whole time while everyone ate calzones!
Today after school we had a little get together with the Lakeville art teachers! Fun, fun!! We did it at Laurie (Linda) Johnson's place and Pam (Paula) Teorey (Tedrey) and Christy (?) Meisner came over. I hope they got their fill of holding me all while I got my fill in the diaper!! It was a good time with good friends.
Mommy has a lot to do for school and FFA right now, but she's doing great. Daddy, Sogn and I went for a long walk tonight since it was so hot outside. Then we came home and watched the ballgame on TV.
I am really starting to communicate much more clearly now. More and more grunts, groans and squeaks! While we were watching the game, I clearly told daddy, "I can't believe that the Chicago Bulls settled for jumpshots the entire second half against the Pistons' zone. It was a great move to change the tempo, but Chicago played right into it and blew the 19 point lead and lost. Grunt." I am so glad that daddy and I can talk basketball!! I have a lot to share with him.

Baptism
Lots of family came to spend the day with me: G'ma & G'pa Schliep, G'ma & G'pa Addington, great G'ma Sylvia, great G'pa Clarence, and all my aunts and uncles. Eric & Kecia, Amy & Kevin, Jessica & Joey, and Lindsay & Josh.
We had a little lunch afterwards in the Fireside Room at church too.
We had a nice weekend. Friday night we just stayed home and relaxed and then Saturday afternoon we went to the farm so daddy could help out grandpa Don with some field work. We stopped in Sogn Valley on the way home to see Jim & Sandy Sviggum. It was good to see them and to see the valley that I hope to live and grow up in someday!!

The Thinker
Life has been moving fast around here this week. I got to go t o some meetings and class with mommy almost every day. She is trying so hard to get her masters degree finished up and get ready for some FFA summer activities too. I am happy to be along for the ride, though just as long as I get to eat when I want!!
Tuesday afternoon they had a shower for me and mommy at the U of M and then our whole family went to the U of M Ag Ed picnic at Como Park. I just chilled in my stroller most of the time. It is very true that I like to be moving if I am laying in that thing though. Kind of fits our family's style...on the move!!
Grandpa Gary came up to spend part of the day with me on Wednesday. That was really fun. We got to go for a walk in the stroller that day too.
I am sure getting bigger and changing. My arms and legs are filling out and getting stronger. I am also looking around a lot more and strengthening my neck. I think all this growing has made me a little cranky this week though.
Looking forward to going to church for my baptism on Sunday. It's also Uncle Eric's 30th birthday on Saturday...man, is HE getting old!!
