The Keller Family

Good times with the Keller Family. BJ and I went to high school back in the day and now have reconnected in the past couple years. I was so glad they had stopped by the state fair last year. We finally got a chance to get together in Sogn Valley and had a great shoot. It was a beautiful day and we had some great smiles!!

The Steberg Boys

What an adventure with these two troopers!! Here's a summary of the evening:

"Hey that's a big hill. Let's climb up it."
"Okay."

It was a great time and this first photo captured it. Once getting to the top of the hill there was a lot of awe and wonder even from such little guys. It was pretty cool.

Baby Harper - AgNite - Styx Concert

Work 14 hours a day for 12 days in a row at the Fair.
Sleep one night.
Start teaching the next morning.
Leave school, drive to Woodbury.
Shoot baby Harper.
Scream over to Minneapolis to the Depot.
Shoot AgNite and concert until 2AM.
Drive home.
Sleep (not very long).
Start teaching again.
Drop dead...

Had a great time with Harper and she was SOOO cooperative! I was only there about 25 minutes but got some great shots.

AgNite was during the Republican National Convention at the Depot in Minneapolis. A big who's who in the world of American Agriculture, politics and ag industry. I was one of two photographers hired to capture the evening. A good time capped off by Styx. They looked old, but sounded flawless. Nice to have all access and get wherever I needed to for some great shots.

Amy+Steve's Wedding

What an absolutely fabulous day with Amy & Steve! This wonderful, small, quaint wedding was at the Round Barn just south of Red Wing, MN. One of the most intimate and neat places I have ever photographed. Couple that with Steve, Amy, their families and friends were such a riot to be around. I laughed my head off the whole day.

This was a tough one to originally book because I knew how swamped we would be in the State Fair business. I couldn't have been more thankful to have my Fair crew filling in for me because this was one of the most enjoyable days I have had. And I hate to admit it, but nice to be away from the Fair for a day!!

Where Have I Been!??!?!

Is this a sign that it's summer or is my daddy just too busy to help me update my blog??? What's up with that???

It has been a wonderful summer and instead of trying to give you every detail, I am just going to pick up where we are now.

Here's the quick synopsis (big word for a little guy):

I walk or run everywhere now. Crawling is SOOOOOO first year!!

I pretty much try to say every word that you ask me to. Be careful.

I have three more cousins all in the last month.
Brynn (Amy & Kevin), Peyton (Jess & Joey) and Harper (Eric & Kecia).
I am a pretty good older cousin and I like to give them kisses and hugs.

I love to say "hi mommy and hi daddy" all the time!!

Still in love with tractors, trucks, cows and bucks. Always looking for them and talking about them all the time!!

Had a great time at Deer Lake and Trout Lake for a couple weeks. Spent some time at FFA camp too.

I love living the country where I can see all my favorite things (see above) all the time.

These photos are from our little getaway to the Schwanke's cabin on Crane Lake in extreme northern Minnesota. We had such a wonderful time with our special friends in such a special place in this world. I even went into Canada. I am so worldly!! It was a quick trip, but really a great time before things get busy with the state fair.

I promise that I will be back more often. I hope I didn't lose too many of my "fans".

Baby Brynn

I gotta admit it...I am a little prejudice here. This is my brand new niece and I am pretty proud. I am also the default family photographer I guess, but these shots are awesome!! She is the first child to my baby sister Amy and her husband Kevin. As you can see, Cameron is a pretty proud older cousin too!! He is adding a few more cousins before his new brother or sister comes in October. Enough of me babbling like a overbearing proud uncle. I guess I WILL BE or AM that weird uncle that always has his camera out!!

The Yetzer Family

Had this one on the calendar for over a year to celebrate the 50th wedding anniversary of Don and Eileen Yetzer. They are originally from Lakeville, MN but now reside in New Mexico. Family came from around the country to celebrate this great occasion at the Legends Golf Course in Prior Lake.

Got a few big group shots as the group kept growing and growing and then got some great candids of the kids. Can you tell which of the family members was the only one who wasn't present and was photoshopped in? Thanks to Carly for taking and emailing me the photos. Light was a little funky, but hopefully passed inspection.

The Schoenfelder Family

Just had a wonderful time with the Schoenfelders! I hate to admit it as it makes me feel old, but these are two former students (from the absolute beginning of my career of course)!! They have such a beautiful family and I was so happy to work with them. They came down the Valley to my place and we took a good walk. We have so many wonderful places to shoot around here that wherever you point the camera you've got great backdrop. It was later in the evening and though hot, we got some great light.

One interesting aside to this shoot: Cameron my 16 month old son was in my backpack for the entire shoot. Had some thing fall through for supervision that night!! haha. He loves that pack and was a real trooper! I think that Kyra and Preston looked at him quite a bit too.

Baby Lexi

Had a great session with three week old Lexi yesterday. She was such a little doll and so patient and well behaved. Shooting infants can be a challenge sometimes because of their unpredictability...eat?...sleep?...cry?...throw up?...repeat!!! Lexi did a little of all of those, but provided me ample time to get some great shots.

I was reminded of how precious this time is for new parents. This was the first really, really young newborn I have been around in a while and brought back so many great memories. These are just simply times that you'll never get back and I was fortunate to help them capture some of those moments of Lexi's. It got me kind of excited for October and the arrival of Addington Baby #2!! Until then my sister will have her baby this week, sister in law in less than a month and brother and sister in law in about 5 weeks. Gonna be a baby explosion around here and I just suspect a few of the photos will make the blog!!

Clint+Jamie's Wedding

Here is just a sneek peek at a few from Jamie and Clint's awesome day in Winnebago, MN. These guys are so great together and we had such a wonderful day. From the moment that Clint first saw Jamie in the sanctuary, they was just a sparkle about them the whole day. We had great weather and a wonderful wedding party. The families have known eachother for a long time and both farm in south central Minnesota. It was one of those "meant to be" stories.

The reception was in Delavan, MN at the old high school. Really a cool setting and there were lots of laughs and good times.

Here is where the Jones' wedding galleries are going to be located. There are a few there now!!
